Bicycle Air Pump
I made this site to help spread the word about quality
electric air compressors for car
tires. However, my fiancée and I own 3 bicycles. We
cycle a couple of times a week because it’s fun and does a
world of good for our body. So I figured I should cover
briefly about bicycle air pumps. Those who already own one
of those “heavy-duty or portable electric air pumps probably
don’t give a flying hoot. After all, an air compressor can
get the done job much faster, so I don’t blame them for
turning their nose up at a mere bicycle pump.
Although I own a number of air compressors (only two still
working), sometimes I still prefer to use the “old-school” pump
to inflate my bicycle tires. I don’t know, there’s something
charming about using the old-school tire pump for my bicycles
instead of “high-tech” compressors. For me, the old-school or
manual pump produces a feeling of nostalgia. It brings back
wonderful memories of my youth. I recall inflating my tires
regularly with a bicycle pump that had this really cheap
plastic handle up top. And then I was off to the video arcades,
fishing lake, etc with my junior high buddies.
Now, speaking of cheap plastic handle top, this is something
that is commonly found on bicycle air pumps of the 70’s or
80’s. But guess what? These days, they still make air pumps
with those cheap plastic handles which is a shame because they
usually don’t last long. The cheap plastic handle breaks
easily. Also, the pump itself is incapable of pumping a large
amount of air into your bike tires. Although I love the
old-school feeling, I would prefer to finish pumping my bicycle
tires a little quicker!
Best Bicycle Air Pump

I purchased the Serfas TCPG Bicycle Floor Pump not long ago
and I’m satisfied with it. It’s an excellent manual air pump
and it doesn’t come cheap, which is to be expected. Naturally,
you have to fork out a little extra in order to experience
quality. I bought mine for about 30 bucks or so. Now, I
consider the price a bit steep for a manual bicycle air
pump.
My previous manual pumps cost no more than 15 dollars. In
fact, one of them cost just 7 bucks, which I thought was a
decent bargain until the thing fell apart after less than a of
couple months of usage. So yeah, I think this pump is quite
expensive but it saves me more money in the long run as it’s
durable and comes with a lifetime warranty. It doesn’t break
apart as easily as the other cheaper pumps, and I’ve been using
it for nearly a year. Fingers crossed. Plus, there's a pressure
reader attached to the pump but it's a little inaccurate
though.
